Tonight we are traveling to Cleveland to visit some friends. A year ago on MLK weekend we were at our friend's hosue when we found out we were pregnant. We left right after school that day to travel up north and I was doubled over in pain. I thought it was just the endometriosis flaring up that was making it so difficult to function coupled with the injections I was taking. It honeslty hadn't even occurred to me that I was pregnant after our past several months that had failed. This past round we had done injections, clomid, IUI, and fertility acupuncture during the procedure. I was in so much pain that I had gotten pretty negative and swore that I was not pregnant. My friend in Cleveland kept begging me to take a test but at first I was adamant that I wouldn't because the injections can give a false positive. But, she finally wore me down and that Saturday night I decided to try it. That same day a year before she had found out she was pregnant with her first and the test read the same thing - that I was now pregnant! I tried not to get my hopes up until I got a blood test the following week. That weekend was torture because I was in agonizing pain and could hardly visit with them because I spent a lot of the visit up in the guest room in tears. Who knew that just a year later I would now have a beautiful son!? I'm so blessed to have such a sweet baby boy. I'll fill you in on how he does with his first long, 4 hour car ride tomorrow!
