Today's blog obviously pertains to woman (sorry guys). If you are following a healthy 'clean eating' diet, and are exercising regularly with passion, and are still not seeing results or even gaining weight, and you take birth control, you may want to make an appointment with your ob-gyn. Birth control can cause unexplained weight gain, says the American Journal of Obstetricians and Gynecology (Women’s Health- July/August 09').
The contraceptive shot known as Depo-Provera can be the worst. Over three years the average weight gain can be over 11 pounds. The pill showed an average yearly weight increase over three years of 3.2 pounds. Speak to your health care provider about your options.
*Today I had a lot of stomach issues, and my back was sore- these two things often happen in tandem because your stomach produces anti inflammatories when it works correctly. When it doesn't work correctly I get a lot more back and hip pain. I use my 'daily diary' to chart these physical characteristics to be able to chart them monthly, and if I do go see a Dr., I can show them if there are any monthly patterns with my symptoms.
